En Ares se contienen todos los males y horrores que causa la guerra a ojos de los hombres. Esto se puede apreciar cuando Ares va acompañado por su séquito de abstracciones que representan los horrores y la crueldad de la guerra.
El carruaje y la antorcha encendida son algunos de sus símbolos. Ares montaba un carruaje tirado por dos caballos inmortales que volaban y llevaban bridas de oro.

In Ares are contained all the evils and horrors that war causes in the eyes of men. This can be appreciated when Ares is accompanied by his retinue of abstractions representing the horrors and cruelty of war.
The chariot and the flaming torch are some of his symbols. Ares rode a chariot drawn by two immortal horses that flew and carried golden bridles.
His relationship with Aphrodite is also referred to in this series.
